Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, phones are busy. I believe someone's on the
line with something here. Who is this?
Speaker 2 (00:04):
This is Robert? Is this Melissa?
Speaker 1 (00:06):
Melissa?
Speaker 3 (00:06):
Yeah? Hi Robert?
Speaker 1 (00:07):
Wait? Is this the Robert Robert? Is this you?
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Hi?
Speaker 1 (00:11):
It?
Speaker 3 (00:12):
I just had to call in.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
I heard you talking to someone the other day and
he said he had started decorating for Christmas. Yes, but
I beat him. I beat him. I decorated October twenty seventh, Oh,
the whole outside. But you know I have good reasoning, Okay.
I underwent kidney transplant on the twenty ninth.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Oh, Robert.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
I knew I wouldn't be able to decorate after that
because I'm just getting back to moving around and I
do so much for the outside of the house. I said,
I'm just going to do it before Halloween. So that's
what I did. And I put my tree up, and
I put everything up on the inside and everything on
the outside. And then you play this wonderful music, and oh,
my gosh, how.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
Are you feeling though and doing? First of all, that's
like incredible? Are you doing? Okay?
Speaker 2 (00:56):
You know what, I'm doing better than I thought I
would be. I'm able to.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
Get out a little bit.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
I'm actually with my mom and we're going to go
to the store for a little bit because I need
more wrapping paper. Oh I did Christmas shopping. Everything was
before the twenty left everything. So yeah, I mean overall,
I am doing great, Melissa. I like I said, I
listened to you and Jim in the morning. I enjoy it.
It just puts me in my mood for the day.
It's just amazing. Oh yeah, it's a whole new me.
(01:21):
It's a whole, you know, new leash on life. So
it's really a blessing to know someone that was willing
to donate a kidney to me. So I'm going to
see Mariah on the twenty seven and because you know
she's the Queen Wayne Queen, Queen Queen.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Wat Robert, I have to know, did you know your donor?
Do you know your donor? Your kidney donor?
Speaker 3 (01:39):
I do?
Speaker 2 (01:39):
I do you do know?
Speaker 1 (01:41):
I mean, but was it a donator?
Speaker 2 (01:42):
My good friend?
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Oh a good friend? Wow? Robert, Wow, what a story today.
So you actually got up, you had a kidney, a
kidney donor, and you decorated and got the entire house
set and ready. So for the next two months you
can enjoy the whole spirit. That's unbelievable.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Until about February, it's going to be in short.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
Keep it up all year? Why not?
Speaker 2 (02:07):
I got one tree that stays up all year. Like
I said, it's just you know, when they started the
music on the touristous in the hospital and they were
talking to.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Me and going over stuff, and I'm looking over the
lady's shoulder at the clock, like, lady, you're getting cut
up because I got to hear the first song and
I have my Bluetooth speaker on and my nurses were
coming in.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
They're like, give us some new Christmas music. I said,
you have no idea who I am outside of this hospital.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
A man, Robert, this is the best story ever. I'm
smiling ear to ear. You put everything into perspective today.
You really did. And that's the only thing that ever
matters is good health and family, right.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Exactly, and love and life, love and life.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
You're the best. Happy early, Merry Christmas, Thank you, Happy Easter,
Happy Flag Day, Happy Memorial Day.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Right, happy day.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
I look happy every day, Happy every day.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Happy every day, my friend. And I will you call
me again and check in. I want to know how
you're doing.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Oh, I definitely will.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
And then to add to you, you're in Jim's conversation.
There is a town called Turkey Run, Indiana.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Oh yeah, Turkey Run Indiana. I forgot about that. I'm
on my way, all right, Robert, say hi, tore Mom.
You guys have a great day, keep decorating, keep up
that awesome spirit. You heal well and we're all rooting
for you.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Melissa, you guys take care and have a wonderful day.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
You two, all right.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
