Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, there is a list that came out or
(00:02):
like a big study about the holiday travel trends for
twenty twenty four. Jim, are you going anywhere for Thanksgiving
or Christmas? You traveling? We're Giving? I don't have anything
Plannedism yet. I know me Too'm gonna be a town,
which is nice. And we haven't figured out Christmas yet either.
Where are you going for Christmas? Have you decided it either? No?
(00:23):
I know No, I haven't even decided Thanksgiving. I mean
I gotta wait for that first. Yeah, all right, well
I'll come over. Yeah, thank you for inviting me. For sure.
My family would love it. We'll see that. I'm going
to be out of town. Okay, So here are the
trends you ready. IHD Hotels survey two thousand travelers to
find out about how and when and where traveling is
(00:44):
going to happen and hear the results. For Thanksgiving, most
of us will travel on the day before November twenty seven,
and we'll go home on Saturday, November thirtieth. So Wednesday
and Saturday will be the biggest travel days for Thanksgiving.
That makes sense, all right. For Christmas, it looks like
December twenty third will be the day most people leave
(01:07):
on a trip. December thirty first is when most people
return home. Oh wow, they do come home on the
thirty four. I guess because they want to have New
Years at home. We do travel a lot on I
always pick December thirty first because it's like really light
with traveling on planes usually. But maybe trends are changing.
People are getting what I get, you know, maybe, so
(01:29):
December thirty first and the twenty third is gonna be
really really big. Florida is the top destination for those
traveling in December. New York rules the New Year's travel rush.
New York for New Year's Florida. For Christmas, most people
seventy eight percent will visit family. The other twenty two
percent are like, oh, I just want to get out
(01:50):
of town and go somewhere away from those people. So
that's what they're going to be doing. I also saw
a little tip to Jimmy. A lot of people said
to set a Google alert on your phones. That you
could do that, like when you're looking for airline tickets
and you set it for certain dates and times. And
then there's also some sites where alarms will go off,
like if they've gone to a certain price that you want.
(02:13):
I didn't know you could do that, like for those
people that are right, Yeah, if you want to be
super thrifty about it, there are all kinds of little
tricks and trades and stuff to go around and set
alarms and stuff. So just a heads up on that,
all right, Well, there you go. Keep all of that
in mind. When you're planning your trips and you're welcome
and let us know where you're going. You have some
time to let us know. But okay, it is ninety
(02:34):
three point nine. Light up
