Speaker 1 (00:00):
Alright, good morning, Melissa. This is Rrisa Munios and you
and I have talked in the previous years, but I
have a favor to ask of you. And I'm gonna
start crying because if I've never done this before. And
I think I told you. I have a now twelve
year old who is battling cancer and epilepsy, and he's
(00:20):
been sick for a whole week. But I started back
to the nursing school this week. I just got accepted
into a nursing school that I've been trying to get
into for over three years. And I had a bit
I got a big exam on Wednesday and sick and all.
And he came downstairs. He goes, come on, mommy, we're
gonna sit up and we're gonna work your homework together.
(00:41):
He goes, if I can do this, he goes, I
want to help you. So I was just wondering if
you could just say something over the radio for me,
for him from me, and just a song, because this
little boy, he has just been the light of my life,
and I think I don't know where I would be.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
He's just in a brace and he's a straight a student.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
He tough through it. And I just really want him
to know I feel so honored.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
I'm so lucky to be his older Now.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
Now I'm crying. Why I know I'm crying. I'm crying.
That was really beautiful.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
I mean, I've never done this before.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
And just to be his mother is an understatement because
he's been through so much. He's had thirty five surgeries,
you know, at three days old, and we just got
the clearance this year that he doesn't have to go
back until he's fourteen years old.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
That's correct.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
I know I don't want to count sound conceited, but
this little boy is now turning into a wonderful man.
I can call him my son. And you know, he
came out stairs, goes, Mommy, we're going to conquer this.
We're going to conquer this. And I said, buddy, we
were we were up until like one thirty and Mommy,
he goes, you were always there for me, and I'm
going to try and be.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
There for you.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
And I know it's I know most kids don't are
Most people don't call him to dedicate songs to their kids,
but I just want to dedicate something to him because
I want him to know that life is so much
happier with him.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
All right, Marissa, what is your son's name?
Speaker 1 (02:14):
His name is Geo g Io.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Do you have a song that you were thinking about
in particular or should I pick one?
Speaker 1 (02:21):
Can you pick one? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:23):
I think I have the perfect one for your son.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
You are I listen to you all the time in
the morning. Just want him to know that I love
him to death.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Every parent listening understands exactly how you feel right now.
And this will be just for Geo today. Okay, we
love you, guys. I'm hoping for the very best. I
know it's all going to work out.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
Thank you so much. We love you too.
